| Bio: | I grew up in Pennsylvania, joined the Army right out of High School. I was supposed to go to Korea, but was released a year early due to Physical Fitness failure which was later determined to be because of a bad knee and shins that I now receive a little disability compensation for. I'm now going to KSU, dual majored in English and Secondary Education for both the BA and the BS degrees, and intend to go for my Masters quickly (since teachers pretty much have to these days). I ended up using this blog more often than I thought I would to write random things about daily life, store stuff mostly related to my online RP hobbies, a story now and then, and to keep in touch with some folks. I'm marking this journal as "Adult Concepts" even though I tend to mostly keep it clean. I have a few RP and creative stories on here, and may randomly say or link to things on occasion (though I usually cut and/or lock those). I mainly do it because as someone looking to get into education, I'm a bit mindful of possibilities. And while I work to keep this journal separate from my other online accounts like Facebook or MySpace, someone can always backtrack or find it through hints elsewhere. And they will if they want to; students can be tricksy, and so can future employers who want to be sure someone is the kind of teacher they want in their school. I tend to say a lot more here than on those other places, which are mostly to keep in contact with other friends. I found I like this site (especially Rule #5, but that's the English teacher in me) and need to consider it more often. As well as putting it in whatever rules posts I need to stick it in on the online comms and sites I belong to; good general things for folks to remember sometimes. | |
